Case: KUKSA
KUKSA is made from real coffee and wood — the same ingredients as the best campfire coffee. Every surface is a little different, because the coffee base interacts with the wood grain in its own way. No two are exactly alike. Customize it with MagSafe or your own logo. On a forest trip, it fits right in — at home, it gets people talking.

How to order: the product is made to order based on your choices. Make your selections on the product page – phone brand and model, material and, if you like, engraving, MagSafe and add-ons. Without these choices, the order cannot be made.
KUKSA – eco-friendly phone cases & protective cases
from coffee grounds and genuine birch | iPhone, Samsung, OnePlus, Pixel, Realme
Morning coffee is brewed, the grounds are tossed, and that’s usually where it ends. Not for us. KUKSA is an eco-friendly phone case made from coffee grounds and genuine Nordic birch – no plastic, no synthetics, just a warm surface and a scent that takes you to a cabin morning. Limited batch, every phone case unique. Fits iPhone 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus, Google Pixel and Realme models. We support the latest models right after launch – including iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37, plus Google Pixel 10a. Add MagSafe and design your own KUKSA phone case before the batch runs out.
Jos etsit ekologisia puhelimen kuoria ja olet väsynyt sanaan "biohajoava" muovipussin kyljessä, tässä on jotain konkreettisempaa. KUKSA on Lastun 15-vuotisjuhlamalli – rajattu erä. Lue Lastun 15-vuotinen tarina →
Material: Coffee grounds + wood – living surface
Limited batch
- Coffee grounds and wood – the surface is born from the interplay of the two. Lively, slightly unpredictable, always a little different. Even we don’t know in advance what your phone case will look like.
- No two pieces are exactly alike. This is an eco-friendly phone case in both material and how it’s made.
- Water-resistant surface – coffee grounds repel water, just as they always have at the bottom of the pot. Handles everyday life without drama.
Lastu has followed its own path since 2011 – FSC-certified birch, The Ocean Cleanup partnership. KUKSA is the essence of those 15 years - something you can’t make for stock.
Structure and protection
+ Textured edge profile – the coffee grounds surface gives a naturally secure grip. The eco-friendly wooden phone case stays firmly in your hand.
+ Korotettu reuna suojaa näyttöä – laske pöydälle ilman kontaktia näyttöön. Puhelin ei ota osumaa silloinkaan, kun elämä ei ole hellä. Pudotussuoja testissä →
+ Raised camera frame – the lens stays lifted, away from table dust. The camera stays clear.
+ Shock-absorbing structure – the surface repels water. Handles everyday life without special pampering.
+ MagSafe-yhteensopivuus valittavissa – langaton lataus ja magneettiset lisävarusteet täydellä teholla. MagSafe vs tavalliset kuoret →
+ Kaiverrus tai oma kuva – nimi, koordinaatit, symboli. Live-esikatselu näyttää lopputuloksen ennen tilausta. Suunnitteluopas →

Frequently asked questions
Does the KUKSA case smell of coffee?
It has a subtle scent of coffee and wood, strongest when the case is new. It isn't strong and doesn't rub off on your hands.
What does an engraving look like on the coffee-ground surface?
On KUKSA the engraving is burned in black, not light. Simple logos, clean lines and text reproduce best – highly detailed photos get lost in the lively surface. Colour printing isn't available on KUKSA.
Why is every KUKSA a different shade?
Coffee grounds and wood mix slightly differently in every case, so the speckles and tone vary. The product photo shows a typical case – yours will be one of a kind.
How long will the KUKSA batch be available?
KUKSA is Lastu's 15th-anniversary model and a limited batch. When the material runs out, it won't be made again in the same form. As long as the product can be ordered, material is available.
Can KUKSA handle moisture?
The surface is treated to repel splashes and moisture, so wet hands or a rain shower are fine. It isn't waterproof, so don't submerge it. Wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
When will my KUKSA case ship?
Your case is made to order in 2–6 working days and then takes 2–4 working days to arrive. Free shipping is an untracked letter – choose tracked shipping at checkout if you want a tracking code.
Feel free to ask us anything — we reply Monday to Thursday and aim to respond within 24 hours. Every Lastu phone case is handcrafted to order in the Nordics.
