KARB is a slim magnetic card wallet that attaches to the back of a MagSafe case. Your everyday cards travel with the phone and come off in a second when you want the phone bare.

KARB is selected as a MagSafe add-on on the case product page. Make sure the case has the MagSafe option.

What is KARB?

KARB is a MagSafe card wallet that holds up to four cards. It attaches magnetically to the back of the phone case without glue or clips and slides off sideways. With the wallet off, wireless charging works normally — so the wallet never locks the phone into a single way of being used.

  • Card capacity: up to 4 cards.

In use

Change setup as the day changes

Unlike a glued card pocket, KARB doesn't lock the phone into one configuration. The same case takes four different setups through the day.

Wallet on

Cards with you at the shop, on the bus and at lunch. No separate wallet in the pocket.

Grip on

Swap KARB for the KRIP 2.0 finger grip when you need a better hold or a stand.

Case only

Light and clean when the phone goes into a pocket or to the gym. Nothing to prise off.

On the charger

Wallet off, phone onto the magnetic charger. Wireless charging runs at full power.

How to

Slide it off, don't yank it

Remove KARB by pushing it sideways rather than pulling it straight off the case. The sideways movement releases the magnetic field gradually, which keeps the hold firm for years and leaves the surface of the case intact.

Works best on a Lastu MagSafe case

In Lastu cases the magnet ring sits right at the surface rather than deep inside the shell. There is no extra material between the magnets, so the wallet stays put in a pocket or a backpack.

Frequently asked questions

How many cards fit in KARB?

Up to four. In practice three cards slide in and out most easily; a fourth fits, but the pocket is then tight.

Does the magnet damage cards?

Chip and contactless cards are not damaged by the magnetic field. An old-style magnetic stripe could in theory weaken after long contact. We cover this in Does a MagSafe magnet damage bank cards?

Does wireless charging work with the wallet attached?

No. The wallet sits on top of the charging coil, so take it off while charging. It clicks back on in one movement.

How do I order KARB?
