engraved on real birch | iPhone, Samsung, OnePlus, Pixel, Realme

Everyone has that one place they could find on a map with their eyes closed: a home street, a cabin road, the first shared address. KARTTA is a phone case with your own map, engraved on real Nordic birch. Streets, shores and crossroads are carved into the wood from the exact coordinates you give us – to others it is a beautiful pattern, to you it is an address. We support the newest models right after launch – including iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37, and Google Pixel 10a. Best gift: design your own map case and give your place a lasting form.

If you are looking for a phone case as a gift and do not want to give something that can be bought tomorrow too, this is a pretty safe bet: every piece is the only one in the world. Read gift ideas →

Design it yourself – Material, map, text

Choose material
Lumi
Hiilikoivu
Terwa
  • Lumi – natural white birch, Scandinavian and quiet. The engraving draws dark lines on the light surface.
  • Hiili – matte black and technical. The engraving reveals the light tone of birch from under the black, like light on a city map.
  • Terwa – tar-treated and dark-toned. The engraving brings out birch’s own colour from the deep surface.

Note: in the preview, the engraving appears as an accent colour – on the finished case, it is the wood’s own natural tone.

Structure and protection

+ Textured edge profile – birch grips by nature, and does not slip off the table like glossy plastic. Design your own phone cases that also stay firmly in your hand.
KARTTA wooden phone case with your own map – textured birch edge keeps the phone firmly in hand
+ Raised edge protects the screen – you can place the phone on a flat surface without the screen touching it. Drop protection tested →

+ Raised camera frame – the lens stays lifted, not in table dust. The camera stays clear.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find my own place on the map, like a cottage or my home street?

Type an address or place name into the search field and pick the right result from the list. You can then pan and zoom until the framing looks right. The map pin marks your place in the centre of the MagSafe ring.

What's the difference between the City, Nature and Terrain map styles?

City shows streets, buildings and water. Terrain shows contour lines, trails and wilderness huts, so it suits cabins, fells and hiking spots. Flat areas have few contours – use City or Nature there.

Can I add coordinates or my own text to the map?

Yes. Along the bottom edge you can add coordinates, taken automatically from the map pin, or your own text such as the place name and year. Text comes in three sizes.

Can I get the map in colour, like a nautical chart?

No. KARTTA is engraved, so it's single-colour and the lines show in the wood's own tone. The engraving is permanent and won't wear off like a print. For a special map such as a nautical chart, ask customer service whether it's possible.

What if my text is missing from the finished case?

If the text showed in the preview but is missing from the case, that's a manufacturing error. Send a photo and your order number to info@lastu.co and we'll make a new case free of charge.

Will KARTTA arrive in time for a gift?

Your case is made to order in 2–10 days and then takes 2–5 working days to arrive. Free shipping is an untracked letter – choose tracked shipping at checkout if you want a tracking code.

For a specific date, allow about two weeks and choose tracked shipping.

What our customers say

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 4.6 / 5 from 47 reviews.

Muuten laadukas tuote.

KARTTA - Kuoret omalla kartalla

Upeat kuoret, mahtava tapa personoida karttakuvalla. Ainut mikä jää nähtäväksi tulevien vuosien aikana on miten vaaleat puun osat ottavat elämästä väriä ja miten hyvin puu ylipäänsä kestää elämän roiskeita. Toivon että patinoituu hienosti.

Kuoret laadukkaat ja istuu puhelimeen just eikä melkein. Oman maun mukainen tarkka viimeistely tällaisiin materiaalivaihtoehtoihin👌👌

KARTTA - Haluamasi kartta puuhun kaiverrettuna

Customer photo review of KARTTA - Karttakuoret haluamastasi sijainnista 🇫🇮 koivua

Hyvin istuvat ja todella kauniit kuoret omavalintaisella tekstillä.

Customer photo review of KARTTA - Karttakuoret haluamastasi sijainnista 🇫🇮 koivua

KARTTA - Karttakuoret haluamastasi sijainnista 🇫🇮 koivua

No minäpä kerron, meni ihan päin vittua.
