The Story of Lastu – Moving Towards Genuine Materials and Responsibility

In 2010, two friends, Sakke and Jussi, asked themselves whether it was possible to introduce something truly distinctive and durable into the synthetic world of electronics. They aimed to develop phone covers and cases that combine modern technology with natural materials inspired by Northern origins. This vision gave rise to Lastu, a brand built on strong Finnish roots, quality, and sustainability.

Materials Inspired by the Nordic Environment

Lastu kuoret, phone covers, and cases are made from authentic and durable resources. We use Finnish wood, carefully crafted and waxed multiple times to ensure a long-lasting finish. We also offer reindeer, salmon, and moose leather, as well as M05 fabric. All materials are responsibly sourced, and we only use non-endangered wood species.

From the beginning, our goal has been to produce high-quality phone cases that stand the test of time. In 2014, Lastu was recognized with the Design Deed Of The Year award (Finland’s Design Act of the Year 2014) in cooperation with Droplet Hitech Design Oy.
