What kind of phone cases does Lastu make?
Lastu makes phone cases to order from real materials: the back plate is either Finnish birch or genuine military fabric. There are cases for iPhone, Samsung, OnePlus, Google Pixel and Nothing, and every one of them can be ordered with a MagSafe magnet and your own photo, logo or engraving. Production takes 2–10 days and delivery a further 2–5 business days.

What Lastu cases are made of
No print, no wood-effect plastic, no film glued on top. What you see on the surface is what the surface is — which is exactly why no two cases come out the same.

The back plate is real Finnish birch from FSC-certified Nordic forests. Sanding, staining and finishing are all done by hand in our own workshop.

The magnet is in the case, not in the phone. That is why MagSafe-style use works on Samsung, OnePlus, Pixel and Nothing too — the charger aligns itself, and a wallet or finger grip stays put with no adhesive.
How a Lastu case protects your phone
A shock-absorbing frame runs around the case. It does most of the work — and it also decides whether the screen gets scratched when you put the phone down face first.
- Raised camera rim: the lens never touches the surface.
- Raised screen edge: protects against face-down knocks as well.
- Matte finish: deliberately so, to keep the case in your hand.
- Water-repellent finish: rain and splashes run off — swimming is another matter, the case is not waterproof.
- Model-specific fit: buttons, ports and the mute switch all in their own places.
- No yellowing: clear silicone yellows within its first summer; wood just darkens.

Handmade in Oulu since 2011
Lastu was founded in Oulu in 2011, when Sakke looked at the plastic case in his hand and decided a phone deserves something better. The cases are still designed and made in the same city, in the old Åström leather factory — for more than 200,000 customers in over 30 countries.

Common questions about phone cases
How quickly is a phone case made?
Production takes 2–10 days and delivery a further 2–5 business days. Standard models sit at the lower end of that range, personalised cases and rarer phone models at the upper end. You get a tracking code by email the moment the parcel leaves.
Is the wood real, or a printed wood pattern?
Real. The back plate is a single layer of genuine Finnish birch, and the grain runs through the surface — it is not printed on top. More about it in the birch material guide.
Does MagSafe work on an Android phone too?
It does. The magnetic ring is in the case, so MagSafe accessories work on Samsung, OnePlus, Pixel and Nothing as well. A closer comparison here.
Can I return a case ordered with my own picture?
No. Personalised products fall outside the right of return under Finnish consumer law, because they are made exclusively for you. Manufacturing defects are of course still put right. Other products carry a 14-day right of return.
