Lastu lugu hakkas tõeliselt kuju võtma 2011. aastal, kui Sakke ja Jussi ametlikult asutasid ettevõtte ja tõid turule oma esimesed tooted. Esimesed Lastu ümbrised olid valmistatud Soome puidust, lummates kasutajaid oma ehtsa tundega.
